2024 Women & Girls' Retreat
May 3-5, 2024
God brings peace in the storm and beauty from ashes
"…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:3
After several years when we were not able to run a Women and Girls' Retreat, we are excited to have it return! In this retreat, women come from various locations and gather at Amigo to encounter God in a way that is refreshing, challenging, and relationship-building.
Women and girls 3rd grade and up are invited to join us for a weekend of activities, worship, fellowship, and food, as we engage with one another and with God around the topic of God's restoration in the midst of chaos. We will be led by Leandrea Lange, who is a pastor at New Foundation United In Christ Fellowship in Elkhart, IN. While the older girls and adults have their sessions, the younger girls will have the chance to engage the same topic in age-appropriate ways.

Leandrea has this to say:
God laid on my heart for this women's retreat, "God brings peace in the storm and turns beauty from ashes." Over the past few years God has brought us through the storms of COVID, chaos in our communities and the struggles in the world, our lives. But through everything, God has shown me that He is in control. God will give us peace even in the midst of chaos, when it feels like there is no hope. God will pour peace over you, calm your spirit, heart and mind. Learn to be at REST with God, while in the storm. When God brings you through the storm, He will then turn your ashes into beauty. I have found this to be true in my own life. My prayer for you is that over this weekend, we can learn from each other, you will find peace and forgiveness, you will be set free from anything that has been holding you back. God will restore your beauty from ashes.
