Camp KIND

Programming: What to Expect Each Day

Meals & Snacks

Serve-Safe Certified, Amigo's kitchen staff strive to provide filling, delicious meals that satisfy the dietary restrictions of guests. Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper will include proteins, veggies, and fruits, as well as a sweet treat. Participants of Camp KIND can request a "safe" food on when they register to ensure that campers with allergies or sensory-related food needs have something to eat.

Morning and afternoon snacks may include fresh fruits, crackers, pretzels, or granola bars. Additionally, adults have access to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate throughout the day.

Breakfast Campfire

On the last day of camp, families cook their breakfast over a campfire! Camp Amigo staff build the fire and help campers and caregivers create breakfast burritos with tortillas, scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and cheese. After wrapping the burritos in foil, staff place them in the fire until the egg is warm and the cheese is melted.

If the breakfast burritos don't fit the flavor profile of the campers, Amigo staff can bring more palatable options (such as fruit or cereal) from the Dining Hall to the campfire.
