Persons interested in volunteering at Amigo have the opportunity to work in the kitchen/dining hall, in the office doing bulk mailings, mending quilts, and on the grounds cutting wood or working in the flower beds. Most of our volunteers work in the kitchen assisting the Food Service Manager and/or Head Cook with food preparation, running the dishwasher, and line clean-up after meals. Dining Hall volunteers would work alongside a Dining Hall Hostess in preparing for groups & their needs, wrapping flatware and cleaning up after meals. Often men come to Amigo to volunteer for our Wood Cutting Day. The wood cut is used throughout the winter months for heating the dining hall building.
